Bearing the authentic Fitz and Floyd® Classics maker's mark, this large-scale two-piece ceramic tableau is a breathtaking recreation of the iconic Christmas Eve flight from Clement Clarke Moore's beloved poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas."

A sweeping arched base of snow-dusted sculpted evergreen boughs, trimmed with red ribbon and holly berries, supports the entire dramatic scene. A bold crimson ribbon banner curves the full length of the arch, inscribed in gold script with the complete reindeer roll call:

"Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donder and Blitzen!"

Eight individual reindeer in full mid-gallop stride are arranged in two rows of four across the arch, each rendered in rich tawny auburn with cream muzzles, amber-gold antler racks, and red and green holly collar harnesses. The reindeer are linked in pairs by sculpted gold chain traces that sweep dramatically forward to Santa's sleigh.

At the right end, Santa Claus rides in his open sleigh — a crimson and gold vessel overflowing with a toy sack, a teddy bear, a birdhouse, wrapped gifts, and a blue toy drum. Santa is rosy-cheeked and white-bearded, dressed in his classic red suit with white fur trim and black belt.

Below the arch, a magical winter forest scene unfolds in the snow: a cheerful snowman in a blue scarf and red hat waves a broom in greeting, accompanied by a small white rabbit, all surrounded by snow-laden dark green Christmas trees decorated with gold and red ornament balls. The entire oval base is edged with a sculpted holly and pine garland trimmed with red ribbon bows and red berries.

The underside bears the Fitz and Floyd® Classics maker's mark. This piece comes with its original box.
